Alex Pak has received B.S. in Biomedicine at Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan. He then moved to the U.S. to pursue graduate studies in Dr. Alexander Chubykin’s group at Purdue University. Alex joined Angelaki lab as a Postdoctoral Associate in June 2021.
Alex studied sensory processing during his graduate work. His thesis was focused on understanding how spatial and temporal expectations shape neural activity in mouse V1. In Angelaki lab, he is going to investigate how sensory processing is used to construct/update the internal representation of the world and guide future actions.
